Activity Information
The My Money course is suitable for people with additional support needs and is tailored to the ability of the group. The content includes learning about coin and note recognition, counting, basic budgeting, understanding where money comes from, shopping and bills and how to save money. The course also includes learning around the topic of "Time" including telling the time (24 hour clock), the calendar and understanding time management. The sessions are interactive and practical, with games, quizzes and exercises to ensure active learning sessions which are appropriate to the needs of each group. No previous experience is required and all materials are provided. The sessions are delivered by a highly knowledgeable facilitator with a background in training and financial services, who is also experienced in working with people with a learning disability.
